Aspen Sky Designs hand crafts unique and custom cremation urns in our (Bruce and Noelle) family workshop. Our story leading to Aspen Sky Designs began back in 2009. Noelle’s mom passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57 while we were on our honeymoon. It instantly took life from the highest of joyful moments to the lowest. Later in 2014, we lost Bruce’s dad after a short battle with cancer. We have spent the years since then finding ways to help others who have experienced loss.
In 2015, we purchased a fixer-upper, A-frame house in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley outside of the Twin Cities. The property also had a large pole barn and a rundown peacock coop. After restoring the home and converting the coop into a relaxing bunkhouse, we turned our sights to transforming the horse barn into a bustling, family workshop.
Later in 2022, we took three months as a family to travel, rejuvenate, explore, and dream in places like Egypt, Türkiye, Dubai, Switzerland, Italy, and Scotland. Our story continued when we came back to America and knew the time was right to start our next chapter, Aspen Sky Designs.
In 2022, we founded Aspen Sky Designs to help people experiencing grief. We recognized a gap in the market and understood that many were searching for more personalized alternatives to mass-produced urns.
Bruce handcrafts each wooden urn with care, and Noelle, a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, individually hand-paints every piece. We prioritize quality, uniqueness, and meaningful customization.
